About this project

Overview

What you are looking at is what I’d call AI-Enhanced Digital Art. My images had only a brief glimpse of analog life as photons, but mostly came to being as digital entities the moment I pressed the shutter button on my camera. The photographies are then entered in a cycle of manual image manipulation, feature extraction and AI processing, each project to a different degree and following a unique sequence of changes.

I’d like to address the biggest concern and re-assure you these images are not created from a nice and comfy interface using a quick prompt. In fact, it takes me more than a few weeks of work to produce just one of such items and the promise is that I will continue to explore new and more complex ways to construct such pieces, so the effort will only increase and as experience accumulates I hope it will reflect in greater results.

I am selling the works as finite products rather than the raw digital file because I feel that despite the digital nature of my artworks, they do not wish to change the way we interact with and appreciate imagery art. My offering is in fact no different to that of a painter who spends time and materials on one original piece of canvas, and then scans it and reprints it, selling affordable exemplaries to people who are interested in their art.

Who am I?

I’ve been a mediocre photographer for 10+ years, a bad painter on a few occasions, perhaps a decent musician and thankfully quite a good engineer (so I could pay my bills and survive). Despite my success in the technical world, I have always remained frustrated by the urge to create. Like most people, I felt I wanted to say so much, but just as a child with not enough words in their vocabulary to write a good poem, all my attempts to express myself through traditional art forms remained only as cheerful memories for a handful of people.

Finally, I’m fortunate enough to be at the intersection of my professional work on cutting-edge Machine Learning models and multiple life-long efforts building up skills in Photography and Image Processing. At last, I am able to produce something that I whole-heartedly put out there for the world to see, for better or worse - this is my contribution.

Seeing people walk-by the storefront, notice my works, stopping in confusion and then slightly smiling before going inside the shop has been one of the best feelings I’ve experienced. Thank you so much for being part of my journey even if only through reading these lines and getting thus far, I really appreciate!
